On October 30, 2023, Arkin Solbakken LLP obtained a favorable award after a hearing on the merits on behalf of investment bankers and their newly-formed investment bank in a FINRA arbitration styled Cantor Fitzgerald & Co. v. PEI Global Partners LLC et al., Case No. 22-00316. The Tribunal’s award rejected Cantor Fitzgerald’s claims that its former investment bankers wrongfully (i) competed with Cantor Fitzgerald in breach of their contractual restrictive covenants and fiduciary duties and (ii) departed Cantor Fitzgerald in breach of their term employment agreements. The Cantor former employees were represented by Lisa C. Solbakken, Deana Davidian and Tom O’Brien of Arkin Solbakken LLP.
