Arkin Solbakken LLP won a trial in the Supreme Court of New York on behalf of its client in the action styled Moghtaderi v. Apis Capital Advisors, LLC, et al., Index No. 650287/2020 (Sup. Ct. N.Y. County 2020). Arkin Solbakken LLP’s client is an investment advisory firm that was sued by its former partner, who claimed that the partnership agreement was ambiguous as to how to calculate payments to him after his withdrawal and that the firm breached that agreement by failing to pay him the correct amount in withdrawal payments. After a trial, the Court agreed with the firm’s proposed interpretation of the partnership agreement and issued a decision rendering judgment in favor of the firm.
