Stanley S. Arkin, a founding member of the firm, was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. He received his A.B. (magna cum laude) from the University of Southern California in 1959 and his J.D. (cum laude) from Harvard Law School in 1962. Mr. Arkin specializes in the defense of business crime cases and is one of the country’s leading trial and appellate advocates. Mr. Arkin represents clients worldwide on criminal and regulatory prosecutions and investigations, corporate internal investigations, and complex civil matters. Mr. Arkin has served as lead counsel on many of the most significant economic crime cases and complicated civil litigations. He also handles unique matters calling for the most sensitive and artful resolutions.
Among the cases in which Mr. Arkin acted as lead trial counsel is Chiarella v. United States, 455 U.S. 222 (1980), the first-ever federal criminal prosecution for insider trading. Mr. Arkin further obtained the sole acquittal in the well-known “Yuppie Five” prosecution.
In another landmark case, Mr. Arkin challenged the government’s effort to back out of a favorably negotiated settlement with the former head of a trading desk at a major investment bank, securing the court-ordered enforcement of his plea agreement with federal prosecutors.

Lisa C. Solbakken specializes in all aspects of business-related litigation and negotiations, including contract and securities law, regulatory investigations, and employment matters. She also regularly advises equity holders and senior executives of both public and private companies in connection with a wide range of complex commercial business and litigation issues, including fiduciary law, compensatory rights, non-compete obligations and wrongful termination cases. Ms. Solbakken has appeared in state and federal courts throughout the United States in connection with her practice, and has advised clients with respect to litigation in foreign jurisdictions. She also regularly lectures on litigation risks and employment issues to bar associations and industry groups.
Before joining the firm, Ms. Solbakken practiced with the New York office of Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP.

Robert C. Angelillo was named a Partner at Arkin Solbakken LLP in 2013. Mr. Angelillo is the Chairman of the Construction Law Committee at the New York City Bar Association.
Mr. Angelillo is an experienced commercial litigator with a diverse practice in the state and federal courts in New York and New Jersey. Mr. Angelillo has represented clients in a wide range of complex commercial matters, including prosecuting and defending against claims for breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, commercial fraud, business torts, professional liability and malpractice, including a broad-based construction litigation practice, having represented general contractors, developers and subcontractors, construction law and disability benefits claims, including administrative appeals under ERISA. He has also negotiated and drafted complex commercial contracts.

Deana Davidian specializes in all aspects of business-related litigation and negotiations. She has represented a range of clients, including corporations, hedge funds, private equity firms and individuals, in commercial litigation, employment and partnership disputes, regulatory investigations and enforcement proceedings, contract negotiations and other matters.
Before joining the firm, Ms. Davidian was a law clerk for the Honorable John E. Sprizzo of the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York.
Ms. Davidian has been recognized as a “Rising Star” in New York Super Lawyers consecutively from 2014 to 2019.
Ms. Davidian is also a member of the New York City Bar Association Litigation Committee.

Alex Reisen is counsel at Arkin Solbakken LLP. He specializes in all aspects of business-related litigation and negotiations, including complex commercial, securities-fraud, employment, and contract cases. Before joining the firm, Mr. Reisen practiced litigation as an associate in the New York office of Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP. Prior to that, Mr. Reisen was a law clerk in the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.

Yuriko Tada is counsel at Arkin Solbakken LLP. She has experience both as a practicing litigator and as a law firm client, having worked as a litigation associate at a major firm and as an Assistant General Counsel at a Big Four accounting firm.
Ms. Tada practiced for several years at Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP, before joining the Office of General Counsel at Deloitte & Touche LLP. After a short period as a stay-at-home parent, she returned to legal practice as a litigator. She also was a Counsel at Sher Tremonte LLP.

Thomas G. O’Brien joined Arkin Solbakken LLP as an associate in 2017. His practice is directed at all aspects of commercial litigation. Mr. O’Brien is a graduate of Brooklyn Law School, where he served as Associate Managing Editor of the Brooklyn Law Review while completing internships with the Honorable James P. Flanagan, Suffolk County District Court, and the Law Department for the United States Postal Service. Upon graduating, Mr. O’Brien joined Squitieri & Fearon, LLP, where his practice focused on consumer class actions and shareholder derivative suits.
